This luxury three bedroom and four bath villa, custom designed and rebuilt by David Moser of Thos. Moser, is brand new to the St. John villa rental market. The St. John Great House is recognized by all accounts as having the island's most spectacular view. The grand panorama marks from sunrise over Rams head to sunset over Saint Thomas and beyond to Lovongo in the opening to the Sir Francis Drake channel. Indeed 270° of the Azure Caribbean ocean.
The St. John Great House is a brand new open air luxury villa. As an upscale villa custom-made furnishings and artful appointments are adorned throughout and create an elegant atmosphere. Each bedroom has oversized sliding glass doors, en-suite bathrooms, king size four poster bed with Heavenly Mattress, European fine linens, and the latest smart TV's.
Caribbean living at its best with an undercover veranda and bar with walk-in access to the crescent lap pool with the conversation spa ensuring relaxed unified atmosphere. The pool veranda is graced with bar and lounge seating, outdoor large screen TV and Bluetooth stereo. The expansive upper decks boast many comfortable sitting and dining areas with brand new IndoSoul and Cane Line outdoor furnishings.
The kitchen and bar area are equipped with All-Clad cookware and well appointed cutlery, glassware and tableware.
Perched on top of a secluded private road with parking for six vehicles the St. John Great House is easily accessible 10 minutes from Cruz Bay and 15 minutes to the National Park for hiking and beaches.

We had the most incredible stay at the Great House. From start to finish every aspect of our experience was truly wonderful. The Great House was a stunning property boasting breathtaking views and a magnificent pool that perfectly complemented the islands natural beauty. The house was a perfect sanctuary for rest & relaxation after many activities such as snorkeling, hiking, or boating. Our experience at the Great House was nothing short of extraordinary. From floating tacos at Lime Out to underwater adventures, to stunning vistas, every moment was filled with joy, beauty and unforgettable experiences. |

We have stayed in villas all over the Caribbean and we feel this is our favorite. Enough cannot be said how well appointed the outdoor space is as well as the interior. One of the reasons we chose this villa besides the outdoor space is the quality of the mattresses and bed linens. We also love having an outdoor shower! Wifi signal great also. Thank you so much! |

We recently enjoyed a week at the STJ Greathouse 270 to celebrate our anniversary. It did not disappoint! The home was beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed. But this house is all about the breathtaking views. Whether on the upper deck, the lower deck, or in the infinity pool, the views and sunsets were spectacular. Honestly, for this reason, we hated to leave the house, even with all of the great beaches. We had primo views of Rendezvous Bay, Chocolate Bay, Great Cruz Bay, and St. Thomas. Wow! When we did leave for a beach, the house had coolers, nice beach chairs, and beach towels available. We grilled out several times using both grills. The outdoor showers were a treat. The house is spectacular - we enjoyed every minute. The views were unlike any we saw on the island. The amenities were great - there was nothing we needed that we didn't have. We had some challenge with our car rental we used however Bernard was our savior. We got stuck with the first car and he rescued us on his personal time when he was enjoying time with his family. This was a vacation of a lifetime! |

Wow. The views are absolutely spectacular. It's clear a lot of thought went into the layout of the villa. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen in terms of cooking utensils. The extras such as beach chairs were appreciated. 4 wheel drive is a must! |

The St. John Great House is breathtaking! It’s less than 10 minutes from the center of town (Cruz Bay) and about 20 minutes from the north shore beaches. A Jeep is a MUST because the roads are STEEP (must rent months in advance)! Destination STJ met us at the ferry and showed us the house (be sure to drop a pin on your apple maps once you arrive at the house in case you ever get lost). The house itself is very clean with everything you need for your stay (cooking supplies, beach chairs/umbrellas/towels, snorkel gear, etc). Kitchens are fully stocked with pans, coffee machine, kettle, etc, with a grocery market ~ 5 minutes away. The outdoor area is AMAZING, with a view that is unmatched anywhere else on the island. There is so much deck space and a different seating area every few steps. The beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. A stay here is an absolutely MUST - I can guarantee you won’t find a better place on the island. Can’t wait to be back!!!!” |

We loved the place, management team was very responsive on 2 calls. Thank you for a wonderful time! This is a beautiful home with incredible view! Love the layout, lots of deck space, pool. Has everything you need for a great time. Comfortable, classy, fun. It can be a bit tricky to find at first but directions are clear and good. Steep hill going up, jeep or similar car recommended. Really loved the house and our time here. |

Fantastic place. Everything was great. We loved sitting outside on the deck for breakfast and dinner and watching the ships and the weather. The house is very well appointed with very comfortable beds and couches, towels for bath and beach, great cooking supplies, satellite tv/streaming apps, and beach chairs/snorkeling gear. I missed that the 3rd bedroom is a separate entrance standalone unit on the lower level so our young kids shared the 2nd bedroom on the main floor. There was a pullout twin bed in the room so it worked great. The kids loved the outdoor showers. The location is at the very top of the hill so don't plan on walking anywhere. By day 2 we were used to driving the Jeep up the hill. It was close enough to Cruz Bay that we ran in for takeout multiple times (about 25 min round trip). We hope to be back! |

Spectacular views! This is truly one-of-a-kind spot, and the house itself is worth the trip. The kitchen had everything we needed (and more), the pool-side bar was a fun spot to hang our during the day and at night, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It even came with robes in each room! Can't wait to come back. |

This was just superb. Perhaps there are equally amazing view from elsewhere in the USVI's (or even the world) but it's hard to imagine. The house was amazing, stylish, comfortable, and with a thoughtful design. Cannot say enough about it! An eleven out of 10 if there ever was one. |

The St. John Great House was an incredible experience for my family and I - The House has an abundance of outdoor seating areas and has a magnificent view that pictures can't give justice to. The house was so close to the downtown Cruz Bay area with all the restaurants and beaches close by. My family loved staying up in the hills away from the downtown which gave us a lot of privacy in our peaceful setting. When our family comes back to St. John we will be looking into renting the St. John Great House again and maybe look into bringing a couple more friends and family along. |

My wife and I have made many trips to St John over the last 20 years. We have used several different agencies and also booked directly from villa owners. One thing we have come to expect is the island moves at a different pace than the mainland. However, the team at Destination St John turned that expectation upside down on our most recent visit. We decided to use our grill one night but discovered it was out of gas. They delivered a full tank the next morning! This is just one example. All interaction with them was prompt and courteous from initial booking to checkout. We will definitely be using them for future visits. |

They had the villa cleaned & ready the next day, with a staff member ready to meet us & show us to the villa...they even put a very nice welcome basket of food/snacks in the refrigerator. Another villa rental company sent me a rude email saying they were too busy to schedule a cleaning service...I'm so glad we stayed with DSJ...Great service!...I plan to use them exclusively in the future. |
