La Papaya, located high on the hillside in Chocolate Hole North, has commanding views over countless bays an islands to the west and south. Enjoy sunrise over Ditliff Point and the sun setting with a fiery blaze over the tropical sea.

The house itself is designed for ease of living with a furnishings of mahogany and other tropical woods complimented with comfortable seating in rich exotic tones. La Papaya works as well for couples as it does for families, with three king size suites and a large efficiency apartment with 2 additional bedrooms, both with full size bedding and air conditioning. The bathrooms are all tastefully appointed with handmade ceramic tiles and large showers, some open to that glorious view.

All of the living areas of this home are fully air-conditioned, offering a welcome retreat when someone has overdone on our glorious sun and beaches. Watch movies on DVD or video, or enjoy your favorite island rhythm on the state of the art stereo system. The kitchen is a delight with rich mahogany cabinetry and a great open layout.

This gracious home is adorned by a large free-form swimming pool with an infinity edge, for watching the sailboats glide by. The hot tub is also large and circular, with a waterfall edge spilling down into the pool.

The grounds are rich and colorful, with antique brick walks and decks, flower-filled arbors and even a lily pool and fountain.

The location in Chocolate offers easy access to dining and shops in Cruz Bay, and a short drive to our beautiful northshore beaches.

A $1000 security deposit may be required. Cancellations 60 or more days prior to arrival are refundable less a 15% service charge. No refunds will be issued within 60 days of arrival, under any circumstances unless property is rerented, then 15% service charge applies. We strongly urge you to purchase travel insurance. Destination St. John arranges vehicle rentals as a customer courtesy. We accept no liability for any problems or disagreements with any rental agency.
